Building stronger leaders for greater impact: ASG Bancorp management & leadership training

ASG Bancorp Microfinance Limited hosted a full-day Management & Leadership Training, bringing together over 30 employees from across our organisation. The program welcomed both our current management team and the next generation of emerging leaders, focusing on supervisory capability, values-based leadership, and business ethics — directly supporting our mission to deliver accessible, affordable, and client-oriented financial services that drive sustainable development and social impact across Myanmar.

The training covered effective supervisory skills, leadership in practice, and business ethics. Participants engaged in sessions on clear goal-setting, fair performance management, coaching conversations, and leading teams with empathy and accountability. They also explored responsible decision-making and transparency as the foundation of long-term trust with clients.

Key takeaways from the day included a renewed commitment to client-first execution, stronger coaching and feedback practices to build staff morale, and practical tools to ensure transparency in decision-making. Importantly, emerging leaders reflected on their own development and mapped out personal action plans to prepare for future management responsibilities.
